An engagement ring usually only worn by the woman, is given and worn as a sign of betrothal. These rings can have diamonds or other gemstones. Many metals can be used for these rings, depends on the couples choice, 18 carat gold is preferred for most but also other gold’s, platinum, titanium, silver and stainless steel are also used.
